It's been an exciting couple of days as Elite Memories is finally published. I have been busy sending out social media notifications. There was a slight issue as the paperback was listed in Goodreads under David John Gibson instead of under my author profile name, David J. Gibson. A Goodreads librarian took care of it quickly.
Now, I am looking forward to seeing published reviews. The initial response from friends and family has been encouraging, with several of them taking a chance and placing an order. A librarian friend has said he'll order it for his library.
Please send me 'in the field' photos as soon as you see a copy of Elite Memories in the wild (in your hand, on a bookshelf, in a bookstore, in a library). I will love to see where it gets to. One of my favorite photos of my last book, Planting Clues: How Plants Solve Crimes, was on the shelf of Criminally Good Books in York, England. A friend of mine was visiting and stopped by, and reported it had sold out! I hope they reorder!

As well as the usual suspects (i.e., Amazon), a good place to order Elite Memories from is from bookshop.org, as a portion of their profits is plowed back to independent bookstores. For example, https://bookshop.org/p/books/elite-memories-david-john-gibson/22704706
What's next? I've started a prequel, Shanya's Saga. There's so much more to this complex character than I was able to fit into Elite Memories. How did she end up as the medical director in charge of the memory transfer facility? Was she always in league with Taurus Najor? Stay tuned!
Finally, do you have a pet dog? Do they understand more than we think? Have memory transfers from humans into semi-sentient animals already started? After reading Elite Memories, you may wonder.
Check back here again for more updates.
Stay curious.
